Dr Joseph De Bono

BM BCh MA MRCP DPhil

Joseph de Bono trained at Cambridge (Trinity Hall) and Oxford (New College) graduating in 1999. He gained a Doctorate (DPhil) from Oxford University for his research into the beneficial effects of exercise on the heart.

He was awarded the Heart Rhythm UK Young Investigator award for this research. He undertook specialist training in ablation and device therapy for heart rhythm disorders at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford , before becoming the Senior Electrophysiology Fellow at the Heart Hospital in London. He was appointed as a Consultant at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2010.

When he is not in the Hospital he is a qualified rugby referee.
